CPC provides important services for families and caretakers -- often the forgotten victims in child abuse cases. 

During the child's forensic interview, a Family Support Specialist meets with the parent or caregiver and provides:

• Referrals for specialized medical and counseling services
• Referrals for emergency assistance including food pantries, legal aid and other services
• Education about legal processes and what to expect
• Crisis intervention and support as they navigate the complex emotional, physical and legal issues that arise following a child's disclosure of abuse

The Specialist follows up with families to provide ongoing support and information throughout the investigation process.
